**THE THING WITH BAD HABITS**

Right from my school days, everyone who's been around me for a reasonable amount of time will testify to the fact that I chew gum a lot. 

Not necessarily that I love it but I just do.

I developed that urge and habit in my school days because I wasn't one who was given to coffee and the likes in order to have lengthier study hours and so the next resort I had was to rely on chewing gum in order to remain focused and alert.

With time the repeated acts of chewing gum unconsciously became a habit. A bad one at that.😬

Everyone around me complained but who sai. Old habits never die hard... Or do they 🤷

To make matters worse I don't chew the gum with relish sef. If you see the way I chew it, you too will be annoyed 😩. 

I chew gum in such a crass manner with my mouth sounding like a typewriter every one minute 🤣.

You wouldn't believe that even on my wedding day I came to the church chewing the gum that I had deliberately saved for that day. 

My husband noticed my mouth whining and because he had come to know me with it like everyone else, he knew I had gum in my mouth and quickly ordered me to spit it out before our wedding service starts 😂.

The circle of life

No matter how long it lives, the Greatest Lion will eventually die miserably. That's the world.

At their Peak, they rule, chase other animals, catch, devour, gulp and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast.

The old Lion can't hunt, can't kill or defend itself. It roams and roars until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by the hyenas, nibbled at and eaten alive by them. They won't even let it die before it is dismembered.

Life is short. Power is ephemeral. Physical beauty is short-lived, I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old people. Everyone who lives long enough will become weak and very vulnerable at some point.

Therefore, let us be humble. Help the sick, the weak, the vulnerable and most importantly never forget that we will leave the stage one day.

Staying True To One's Self

How can you have your wedding without "professional makeup" or without breaking the bank?

How can you write this exam without "any form of assistance"?

How can you get married without "testing the car you want to buy first"?

How can you graduate from the university without ever tasting alcohol, drugs or going clubbing?

These and many more are the unending voices in our heads compelling us to conform to certain so called societal norms that we are often better off without especially in the long run.

I recently had a heart -to-heart with my 5-year old where he seriously queried and disapproved of my wedding picture hanging on the wall of the sitting room for the singular reason that I put on so much facial make up in that picture and so in his eyes I am no longer the person in the picture as I look like someone else, whereas he knows that mummy (which is me) wears little or no facial makeup on most days.

For those who are still holidaying, the year has started in earnest. Imagine 15+ days off the calendar already. What did you say is your new year resolution and goal again?... You may need to look yourself in the mirror and repeat that aloud to yourself again with a more serious tone.

As for me this my omugwo period is one of sober reflection and re-strategizing especially regarding my being very intentional about creating a passive income that will with time grow to become more steady than my 9 - 5.

You see ehn, marriage is beautiful but you can be in it and feel so sad, left out, and bitter if you don't look out for yourself.

📌 Self-Love. This means having a high regard for your well-being and happiness. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others.

Self-love gives you the courage to be assertive, make decisions, and set boundaries in your lives.

Here are some of the benefits of self-love: Increased self-esteem. Self-love is bound up with self-esteem – which is vital for good mental health.

So please, love yourself so much. Be selfish. Put yourself first before anyone. If you don't, you won't even have any love to give. 

My children once asked me who I love the most in the family and I responded "ME". I love myself more than all of you.

📌 Self-Care. Practice good self-care. You will love yourself more when you take better care of your basic needs. People high in self-care nourish themselves daily through healthy activities, like sound nutrition, exercise, proper sleep, intimacy, and healthy social interactions.

Buy that hair, bag, shoes, or anything you love to own and can afford without looking back. Don't be stingy with yourself. Some women dedicate so much to their children and spouse while they look haggard. 

Clean up yourself. Your skin, your looks, your smell, and your hair should be in order and you don't have to break the banks to get that done.

The happiest woman alive

The happiest women* today are not the married ones, neither are they the single ones.

They ain't even those with the most  expensive apparels or gadgets.

They're not the ones with great income or influential backgrounds.

They are not the ones with many degrees bagged from prestigious institutions both locally and Internationally.

The happiest women are the ones who have discovered themselves and are living their lives in total alignment to their purpose and self discovery. 

This set of women don't get bullied or cheaply blackmailed because they don't need your validation. 

They made a deliberate choice to love themselves despite what comes their way. They are not greedy but satisfied and contented with what they can make happen. 

Women who don't play the blame game nor act the victim playlet.

 Their self-esteem is intact with a good sense of self worth. You can't stop them because  they have moved past mediocrity and intimidation. They are not sentimental freaks because they have conquered their anger, fears and bitterness.  These are women who have chosen to leave their past behind and take on the future like the warriors they are

No! you can't threaten them with status because they realized on time, that personal achievement needs no "Title" to be attained!

They realized that they are responsible for their own happiness. 

They are women who have chosen to be defined by virtue rather than status

They DON'T drag POSITIONS with men either because they know that a woman was not born to do what a man can do but she was created to do WHAT A MAN CANNOT DO!

Women Please Stop Shaming CS Mothers

 

CS may be difficult, very expensive and sometimes have prolonged healing process and time that can last as much as weeks from all the vaccines administered during the process and so on but one thing is sure, it is a divine life saver for both child and mother especially in cases of difficult or impossible vaginal delivery. 

Don't be foolish and play with your life and that of an innocent baby (ies) that you have suffered for nine whole months to carry with high expectations just because the only Scripture you know off heart and your own misconstrued interpretation of Hebrew women is vaginal delivery only. The statistics of foolish women is no longer funny so refuse to join them.

You the naive family, friend or confused Man of God who is teaching this erroneous doctrine of heresy concerning Hebrew women and leading mothers and babies to an early avoidable grave please in the name of Jesus that you claim to teach this satanic teaching STOP IT IN JESUS NAME. AMEN and please just stop mocking a CS mother. You are not God neither are you better than her because you had a vaginal delivery. Nobody is perfect, tides can also turn anytime and our body make ups are not all the same. Most people don't have the willpower to withstand societal and family pressures.

Bringing it home for us as Children of God, we have an epitome of God's obedience to whom it was counted unto as righteousness... In the person of our father Abraham. 

His entire life and walk with God here on earth from when God called him out of his initial home place and people in Haran up until the birth of his covenant son Isaac was a clear case of childlike obedience, total faith in God and His promises as well as the generational rewards of total obedience to God His Unfailing Word.
